Anstatt dass / ohne dass
Bir eylemin beklenen alternatif yerine yapılması veya başka bir olay olmadan gerçekleşmesi için anstatt dass ve ohne dass kullanılır. Aynı özne varsa daha kısa olan zu + Infinitiv yapısı genellikle daha doğaldır.

…, anstatt dass / ohne dass + Subjekt + … + Verbdass ile başlayan bölüm yan cümledir ve çekimli fiil sonda bulunur. zu + Infinitiv yapısında ise özne genellikle ana cümleyle aynıdır.

Anstatt dass describes an alternative that does not happen; ohne dass describes something that is absent. With the same subject, German often uses anstatt/ohne + zu + infinitive instead.

Common mistakes
Use a full dass clause when the subjects differ.
With the same subject, the zu-infinitive is often shorter and more natural.
Put the finite verb at the end after anstatt dass and ohne dass.
What to remember
Anstatt says an expected alternative did not happen; ohne says something happened without something else. Use zu-infinitives mainly for the same subject.
